Simple Home Basics was a little idea of combining information pertaining to our homes and families from all around the internet into one friendly place.  One place to go to find everything you need. Ideas on your next family get-together, to fun ideas like a dinner club with friends.

We understand how difficult it can be to receive newsletter after newsletter of tips and tricks and keep it all straight. So much information thrown at you from all different angles. The contributors at Simple Home Basics understand these frustrations and that is why Simple Home Basics was born. To accommodate you and make your time - your time again!

Our blog is broken out into six different categories. Simply Family, Simply Home, Simply Organized, Simply Entertaining, Simply Community, and Simply Resources. Each area focuses on a part of life that we each might find ourselves struggling in. Our goal is to just give you a little idea to help jump start you again.

Simply Family focuses on your family. Family time is precious and each day we seem to have less and less. Simple Home Basics wants to make sure your family spends quality time together. From crafty ideas, sporty ideas, to even educational fun like book clubs to start at home, you will find a fun time suggestion here.

Simply Home focuses on your home and how you can gain a spiffy new look for just the right price - inexpensive. We understand that families are on tight budgets, so giving you transitional ideas on how to take items you already have to transform a rooms look are definitely right up your alley! You can also find tid bits on how to save time on certain areas of life - like laundry!

Simply Organized - well it is just that. Families have kids running around, have clothes thrown here and there, so it is understandable that organizational tips and products will definitely help. From keeping toys off the floor all the way to keeping family schedules inline, we can offer you some ideas. Don’t even get me started on that pesky junk drawer!

Simple Entertaining is entertaining in the fun, inexpensive way. We all can use an idea for a Holiday event, to backyard barbeques, so here we offer just those tips. We will also wet your appetite with scrumptious recipes, fun dinner club ideas, and we will also throw in some great suggestions for your little ones next big birthday bash.

Simply Community was not part of the original plan for Simple Home Basics, but one area that really is important to all. Here we will showcase people or companies that are making strides to improve the lives of others. Whether it be through financial help, to the gift of a simple bike, we want to make sure your hometown hero is appreciated for what he or she has given.

Simple Resources  - again, just that. We felt that there was an area missing for some of the topics we wanted to speak on - services that could used for the entire family or home, so the resources area was created. From moving to having a new baby, you will find those topics listed here.

As with any new adventure, we are constantly trying to mare sure we offer the best to our readers, so we will continue to change and improve. Simple Home Basics Co-Founder: Dannie (aka Brunette) is the mother of two children: one son, age 12, and one daughter, age 7. Dannie works outside of her home for the big corporate world in textiles for a small company head quartered in New Jersey. Prior to Dannie’s current company, she worked for a large retailer everyone pretty much knows; one you either love or hate. In addition to full-time family and full-time work, Dannie returned to school to gain her degree in Business with a minor in Marketing. In what little spare time is left, Dannie splits her time between her children’s various activities, reading to the kiddos, and writing. Oh, sleep is in there somewhere!
