Are you having the dinner club at your house tonight and not sure of a quick, yummy finger food to use as an appetizer? Well I happened upon a great little blog that is sure to hit the spot and give you just what you are looking for!

Ever wondered what the BLT would look like not as a sandwich? Well, I haven’t either, until now, and they look really great! Just take a look at the picture! Honestly, I am not sure how I stumbled upon this creative food idea, but I am glad I did.

The person to thank for this appetizing, fun food is Meagan over at Not Martha, a priceless title! An idea sparked from the need to find a bacon-themed food, Meagan was inspired by another bacon idea, bacon mats, and created a version to fit her needs – viola!

Essentially a BLT in disguise, Meagan used what she had at hand to create her cups, muffin pans of various sizes. Now supply the bacon, lettuce, and tomato, and your starter will be a hit. Meagan suggests topping your cups with a mayonnaise-based dressing to give your cups the true BLT flavor. A ranch salad dressing should do the trick.

The best part of the Bacon Cups, you can add your own little bits of idea to have a whole new creation. Do you like shrimp wrapped in bacon? Add bits of shrimp that have sautéed in butter and garlic to give an added flavor. Limitless!
