Do Something

logo_ds Today’s youth have peers, school, and video games that keep their attention - good or bad. It can be difficult to get tweens and teens out and engaged in more social and mind stimulating activities. One such activity that will give your child not only the social interaction that is lost with video games, but a solid ground with which to grow in education and support is volunteering.

Volunteering is not only about a line on college applications it is about self-discipline and devotion to something other then oneself. A Web site that should be checked out to give and your children the best possible start to a successful volunteer path is DoSomething.org.

DoSomething.org is a volunteer resource Web site designed with our Nations youth in mind. Offering encouragement to get out into the community and just do, your tween and/or teen can search the site for local volunteering projects, learn how to create a club of their own to support community outreach, or learn about other youth projects going on to gain ideas or to join for support.

DoSomething.org is all about the strength of our youth; encouraging them to take part in their community to create a better future for all.

  1. Do Something…

If each tween and teen within our nation picked one project to volunteer at, or created a project of their own, can you imagine the change we would see within our country, our world? Get your kids up and get them doing something!…
