Honestly, I can’t remember how I stumbled upon this charity site, but I am glad that I did because now I can share it with you.  If ever an organization was helping our future, Donorschoose.org is that organization.

Our children are our future and with Donorschoose.org you can invest in our future by funding an education project that will teach and guide.  It all starts with a schools need and a teacher’s proposal.  Once a teacher submits a proposal and it falls within the stated guidelines the project is placed on the web site.

Once placed, you - the donor - can review all of the proposals; some may even be from your area schools.  When you find a proposal or several that you would like to support, you have several donation choices, including funding the entire proposal or just a portion.

My state was just opened to submitting proposals in September and there are 12 proposals already.  One proposal is for literacy supplies for middle school students that live in high poverty - 95%.  It is because of caring people like you that these children will receive the supplies they need to accomplish success in school.
