Outdoor Party Fun

Warmer weather is right around the corner and with the warmer weather will come fun outside: picnics, parties, and barbeques. You already have great atmosphere with the outdoors, here are some great tips to help you enhance the ambiance of the already enchanting backdrop. Now invite your family and friends, but leave the bugs at the edge of the yard, and begin to celebrate the start of many great evenings to come.

Lighting

Simple lightening is as easy as breaking out lights that you use at Christmas time. Yes, those tree lights are perfect for lightning up your deck for all evening enjoyment. The string of lights can easily be wrapped around your deck and offer wonderful, magical illumination.

Use garden torches to bring your outdoor theme to life. Placing torches at various points within your yard will give your party-goers an outline of your yard, will offer great lighting, and if you use citronella within the torch, you can help keep mosquitoes and other bugs at a distance.

Ambiance

Two pointers: music and fire. Music will lighten moods and open up everyone to a bit more enjoyment. Play fun music that can easily be danced to if partiers choose, but can also be enjoyed just by listening. A tip from MyHomeIdeas.com, play reggaetone; it is fun and light and gives a great background for your party.

Fire pits offer a great social focal point to gather around and have great conversation and help ward off any chill from the evening. Placing one or two fire pits around your back yard will let small group gather and meet. The fire pit you see here, Landmann - Big Sky Stars and Moon Fire Pit, is perfect for an evening party and is priced around $120.00 through Teak, Wicker & More.

Food

Your having fun, and chatting with family and friends, unless you choose to have a sit down meal outside, offer buffet style finger foods that can be easily eaten without much mess or effort. This is a fun party, not a balancing act. Don’t make guests have to juggle their food and drinks.

Another tip from MyHomeIdeas.com, use melamine dinner ware for your food and desserts. Yes, that might mean more clean-up after, but that is less trash going into our landfills too. Melamine dishes are a heavy plastic dish, that won’t break, and come in great colors that will add some additional spark to your party.

One more necessity when having a party outdoors, a cooler to keep beverages cold and ready for those thirsty guests. Now the cooler doesn’t have to be stylish, a simple cooler works wonders, but if you choose to spark up the look of your cooler the one to the left, Coleman - Stainless-Steel Party Cooler, is a beautiful upgrade and is priced around $155.00 through Teak, Wicker & More.

Now these are only a few tips to help you get your party underway. Do you have any additional ideas that we can add to our list? Let us know by either contacting us or leaving a comment and we can get them added!
