Winter Indoor Fun

I have seen a few posts about this recently and I find it funny only because my family does this as well. “What is it?” I hear you asking. Camping indoors is what it is. Now before you say, “no way!” use your imagination; it could be really fun for your family to share some time like this. And no fire involved!
Some families use tents right in their living or family room, others just roll out the sleeping bags, but regardless of the accessories used it is the ambiance that you create to make the camping trip a success.
Think about what you have for the outdoors and just bring it inside. Use flashlights or battery operated camping lights to create the look. Make s’mores or popcorn, heck have both, and tell a ghost story or two. Your best trick for bringing the outdoors in, maybe purchase a CD with wilderness sounds, like crickets chirping or even frogs to create the outdoor feel.
Don’t know any ghost stories to tell? Create one of your own. Start off telling a tale, then move on to the next family member. Go around the family so that each person gets the opportunity to help create your family ghost story masterpiece.
Remember, a little imagination can go a long way. Have fun!
